Scotch 7 St Kevins 39
On a cold morning, Scotch College hosted St. Kevins in the battle of the bridge. St Kevins started the game with a few uncharistic penalties, but strong defence kept Scotch from scoring. Ed Lyons made a blistering run from halfway to open the scoring on his first break of the day. As the game went on, St Kevins began to widen the gap through strong forward dominance and enterprising play from the backs. St. Kevins went into the break 22-0 up.
The second half started a little slow for St Kevins, but they gradually built into a strong finish. Two strong trys from Louis Treacy sealed the victory. The St Kevins scrum was once again dominated, helping a rejuvenated backline dominate field position. In the final scores, St. Kevin’s won 39-7.
