In glorious conditions, Brighton Grammar hosted St Kevins in a grand-final rematch. The game started with St Kevins capitalising on ill-discipline and scoring off a penalty. A defensive lapse led to Brighton scoring off a counter-attack to even the score. A late SKC try gave the visitors a narrow lead heading into the break.
The second half started with Ed Lyons capitalising on some good work from the forward pack, and from there, St Kevins never looked back. Trys from the halves pairing for St Kevins led the visitors to a 34-19 win.
St Kevin’s forwards dominated the set piece and breakdown, setting the platform for the backs to unleash their magic.
